Irish Stew Recipe

When it comes to Cheap Meals, the Irish know a thing or two. They’ve been through some tough times historically and so where better to grab a Cheap Recipe from than the Emerald Isle…
(Serves 4 – 6) 2lb (1kg) Lamb Neck Chops3 large onions, sliced 1lb (500g) carrots, sliced 1lb (500g) potatoes 2tbs worcestershire sauce Preheat oven to 320F (160c)
Arrange layer of chops in flame proof caserole dish. Season with salt pepper. Cover with layer of onions, then carrots and then potatoes. Repeat until all used. Sprinkle sauce over the top and pour enough water in so the dish is covered two thirds of the way up. Place on cook top and bring water to the boil, cover nd put in the oven.
Leave for 2.5 hours
